"S - O - S (Rebirth)" was recorded just before the COVID lockdowns, a period when mankind as a whole sent out an S - O - S to a Higher Power for protection and safe passage through those extremely challenging times. The song was originally recorded as per the uptempo "Live" arrangement, then stripped back to half-speed for a gospel-influenced dub version, before finally being reborn with hip-hop beats, swirling synths, ghostly vocoders and pitch-shifted vocal chops a-plenty.
